This is Mac. He's been my new web surfing companion for about 8 months now. He's the little brother of Dell, who is quite miffed at being put aside in favor of his less-hefty and more agile younger brother. It's been a bit strange adjusting to all the little learning curves of a new system. At the same time it's been a pleasant adventure. (I love to dive into a new techie thing and blunder my way through the learning process.)
I do like Mac a lot. But I have to go back to Dell every now and then as my graphics programs, etc. are not Mac compatible, dang it. Splurging for new programs is not on the agenda any time soon. Although I must admit to going to the Mac store and drooling over the possibilities. And trying not to listen to their pleas of how they are so lonely sitting on the shelves, won't I please take them home with me. Must... resist.
What I have to do is give Dell a good cleaning and get rid of a ton of files and defrag him like mad. Just in the hopes that he gets more up to speed. I will not be using him for web work or surfing (as the page download and connectivity time is seriously sloooow), but I will continue to use him for the Print Shop and Paint Shop pro applications he has on him. I am not quite comfortable with Pages yet, and may slip on over to use Word since I know how to outline documents, etc. on there.
So would that be cheating on Mac for using another computer or showing some love for Dell and letting him know that he may not be the sleekest or fastest one on the block, but he's still got that special something about him.
